Declutter room by room — sell, donate, or bin anything you won't take with you

Notify your landlord or agent if you're renting, per your lease terms

Start collecting sturdy boxes, tape, and bubble wrap

Check your building's move-in/move-out booking rules (lift access, loading docks, permitted hours)

1–2 Weeks Before

Confirm your move date and time with us

Redirect your mail with Australia Post and update your address with banks, employer, and subscriptions

Arrange transfer or connection of electricity, gas, water, and internet at both addresses

Label boxes clearly by room to make unpacking faster

Arrange a parking permit or reserved space for moving day if your street needs one

Take photos of valuable or fragile items for your records

Pack an essentials box — chargers, medications, toiletries, snacks, a basic toolkit

Do a final walkthrough of your old place — check cupboards, under beds, and the garage

Confirm key handover arrangements with your landlord, agent, or the new owners

Note down meter readings before you leave

Do a walkthrough of the new place before unpacking to check for existing damage
